The production of processed organic agricultural products and development in its trade in Turkey | Türkiye'de işlenmiş organik tarım ürünleri üretimi ve ticaretindeki gelişmeler

English. The demands of traditional export products from European firms in Turkey in 1980s have quickened the production of processed agricultural products in this area. Processed organic agricultural production was 106.400 tons, consumption in domestic market was 66.300 tons and export was 38.300 tons in 2006. Previously, while the important part of production has been exported, development of consumer's consciousness and increased domestic demand in product processing technology canalizes to food firms domestic market in organic agricultural production at the present time. At this process, firms especially have produced market oriented dried foods as grape, fig and apricot; concentrated products as organic apple, pear, pomegranate and grape juice; canned products as sour cherry, pepper, tomatoes and apricot; frozen products as strawberry, sour cherry, apricot, pepper and cherry. Processed organic agricultural products of 62 % were consumed in domestic market in 2006.

Türkiye'de 1980'li yıllarla beraber Avrupalı firmaların geleneksel ihraç ürünlerini organik olarak talep etmeleri, bu alandaki işlenmiş tarım ürünleri üretimini de hızlandırmıştır. 2006 yılında işlenmiş organik tarımsal ürün üretimi 106.4 bin ton, iç pazar tüketimi 66.3 bin ton ve ihracatı 38.3 bin ton düzeyinde gerçekleşmiştir. Üretimin önemli bir bölümü önceleri yurtdışına ihraç edilirken, günümüzde ürün işleme teknolojisindeki gelişim, artan iç talep ve tüketici duyarlılığı, organik tarımsal üretimde gıda işletmelerini iç piyasaya yönlendirmiştir. Bu süreçte işletmeler özellikle üzüm, incir ve kayısı gibi kurutulmuş ürünlerde; organik elma, armut, nar ve üzüm suyu gibi konsantre ürünlerde; vişne, biber, domates ve kayısı gibi konserve ürünlerde, çilek, vişne, kayısı, biber ve kiraz gibi dondurulmuş ürünlerde piyasa taleplerine yönelik üretimde bulunmuşlardır. 2006 yılında işlenmiş organik tarımsal ürünlerin % 62'si iç piyasada tüketilmiştir.
