English. In this experiment; sulphur, gypsum and ammonium sulphate were applied for the purpose of reducing the soil pH in alkaline soil which growing Citrus limon cv. Interdonat during 2003-2004 period. The effects of these applications on the range of soil pH, plant growth and fruit were investigated. As a result of the evaluations, it was seen that elemental sulphur was the most effective method to reduce soil pH. Total salinity of the soil was increased by applications. Sulphur and gypsum applications on fruit quality was found statisticaly non significant, but Vitamin C content of fruit juice increase by these treatments.

Bu araştırmada, İnterdonat limon çeşidinin yetiştirildiği alkali toprakta pH'nın düşürülmesi amacıyla 2003-2004 döneminde kükürt, jips ve amonyum sülfat uygulamaları yapılmıştır. Bu uygulamaların toprakta pH değişimi, bitki gelişimi ve meyve kalitesine etkileri incelenmiştir. Değerlendirmeler sonucunda, elementel kükürt uygulamasının, toprak pH'sının düşürülmesinde en etkili yöntem olduğu görülmüştür. Uygulamalar toprakta toplam tuz miktarının artmasına neden olmuştur. İstatiksel önem düzeyinde bulunmamakla birlikte meyve suyu C vitamini miktarı kontrole göre kükürt ve jips uygulamalarında daha yüksek değerlerde tespit edilmiştir.
