In order to have new species for aquaculture aiming at supplying new products for the demand of the markets, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development funded for a researched project "Creating technology procedure for artificial breeding and growing-out of Dog Conch (Strombus canarium Linnaeus, 1758)". Disease is a challenge of doing research as well as commercial production of aquatic animals. The larvae of Dog Conch are very susceptible to diseased infection, while applying normal treatments for their disease is difficult, because, the larvae are very sensitive to any changes of environmental factors, therefore, prophylaxis measures are very important. In ordered to prevent diseases effectively, it is essential to know what the diseased causing agents are. This is the first research on the diseases of Dog Conch larvae. The results showed that, the larvae can be infected with various parasites including Zoothamnium sp., Vorticella sp., Apiosoma sp. and Epistylis sp. The prevalences and intensities of the parasites were statical significantly different between the diseased and normal larvae. The results also showed that, the prevalences and intensities were increased from the beginning to the end of the veliger stages (floating stage). However, it is necessary to have a more comprehensive research to evaluate the effects of these parasites to the larvae.
