Studying on morphological characteristics of fruits and seeds as well as germination of some hybrid varieties of Melaleuca and thier parents show that fruits of hybrid varieties fairly intermediate between that of thier parents. Seed of Melaleuca is very small in dimentions (125.5 x 540.5µm _ 146.4 x 710.0µm), and seed menber per kg is very large (20.3 - 36.1 milion seeds/kg). Among them, seed of hybrid combinations are more homogeneous than that of their parents. The rate, power and index of seed germination of any hybrid variety is superior either to one of its parents or to both of its parents, showing the higher viability. In other word, the artifical hybrid varieties of Melaleuca have the heterosis (or hybrid dominance) envidently exposing even from seed period. Most of varieties of Melaleuca have the moisture content of seed below 10%, so it is better to store, preserve the seed in dry conditions. Before sowing, Melaleuca seed is soaked into water at room temperature (20o-30o) is a simpliest approach, safety and cheaply.
