Peach orchards have high requirements toward heat and light conditions. The negative influence of low temperatures is associated mainly with late spring frosts. This is the period from beginning of March to the middle of May and sometimes to the end of May. Тhe spring frosts are critical for all kinds orchards and cause damages on the crops in the major part of regions, where production of fruits is concentrated. For that reason, the correct use of climatic resources on the territory is possible only on the base of investigation and full disclosure of relationships between development of the peach trees and agrometeorological conditions. The optimum conditions for the growing of these fruit trees in Bulgaria are in the Tundja valley, Petrich, Sandanski, Veliko Tyrnovo, Plovdiv, Sliven, Stara Zagora and Black sea area. The phenological and meteorological data has been analysed for seven locations for last fifteen years period 1992-2005. The aims of present work are to find answers of following questions: 1. What is the influence of late spring frosts on the growth of some varieties of peaches in Bulgaria? 2. Investigation of vulnerability of the peach trees from spring frosts with temperature 0Тn -6. 3. Find is there dependence between number of days with frost and dates of flowering stages occurrence.
