During the 2007-2009 period in the experimental field of IMSA – Troyan a field trial was carried out in order to determine the most suitable cover crops for establishment of pure stand of white clover. It was found that the studied cover crops - oat, triticale, barley, wheat and spring pea did not provoke the wanted effect – to reduce the weed content and to favour the growth, development and yields of white clover.
