Results of studies of the comparative yielding capacity of the leguminous (Fobaceae) crops (green pea (Pisum sativum) of Millenium variety, Austrian winter pea (Pisum arvense) of Alex variety, vetch (Vicia) of Udacha variety, and blue lupine (Lupinus angustifolius) of Khvalko variety realized in 2005-2006 in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus were presented. The average yields of studied crops in course of two years were the following: green pea - 37,5 c/ha, Austrian winter pea - 44,8 c/ha, vetch - 30,0 c/ha, and blue lupine - 36,7 c/ha. There was realized the analysis of the chemical composition of seeds of leguminous crops, and determination of the content of dry matter, crude fat, crude protein, crude fiber, calces, sugars, and nitrogen-free extractive fractions. It was stated that blue lupine exceeded all analysed crops by all mentioned above parameters. As a result of the realized analysis there was calculated the actual substance of fodder units and their provision with the digestible protein as well as their croppage per arable areas. Data on the content of P2O5, K2O, calcium, magnesium, ferrum, cobalt, zinc and copper in grain samples of studied crops was presented. The highest indexes of the mineral elements content excluding calcium, magnesium and zinc were stated in vetch plants
