Study of morphological and morphometric peculiar features of proventriculus of newborn calves with the different degree of antenatal underdevelopment, which should be taken into account in the process of animal management and feeding, as well as during realization of a complex of medical and preventive measures. Research results showed that depending on the level of calf antenatal underdevelopment there were changes in the relative mass of multiseptate stomach, for the calves with the low level the relative mass was larger than proventriculus, and for the calves with the high level, on the contrary, there was the increasing of the relative mass of fourth stomach. The mucous coat of farding bag of calves with the low degree of antenatal underdevelopment in the morphological and functional aspect was more mature, as there were formed dugs, presented muscle segment of mucous coat, and for the calves with the high degree there were typical well-marked indexes of incompleteness of embryonal genesis of farding bag epithelium. Walls of grids of calves with the low degree of antenatal underdevelopment were characterized by the maturity of tissue components formation.
