Efficiency of cultivation of red clover (Trifolium pretense) in green conveyor system could be substantially increased in the conditions of cultivation of different ripening, complementary varieties, for which the phase of cutting ripening took place in different terms. In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were created and evaluated the complicated hybrid populations of different ripening groups the best representatives of which there were early ripening variety TOS-early, average early ripening – TOS-average-early ripening, middle-late – BGSKhA-31, average late ripening – TOS-870, and late ripening - SGP-6. The results of the competitive and state tests of the variety sample TOS-870 which was included into the State register of varieties of the Republic of Belarus in 2008 were shown. The observed variety in course of three investigation years made it possible to obtain yields of green mass which exceeded standards on 41,0 c/ha (7,8%), hay – on 117 c/ha (9,8%), seeds – jn 0,28 c/ha (20,8%). Analysis of quality characteristic of red clover TOS-870 variety showed the following indices: protein content – 18,1%; protein yield per 1 ha – 23,0 c; calcium content – 1,3%, magnesium content – 0,4%.
