Isolated samples of apple scab pathogens, extracted from varieties of different genetic origin, differ according to the cultural and morphological indicators and make up five morphotypes. The biggest diversity is observed in the strains of scab, extracted from leaves of domestic apple varieties (M.x domestica), which are present in 4 morphotypes out of 5 (2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th). 3 morphotypes of scab strain (1st, 2nd and 3rd) have been taken from the variety Geneva (M. sieversii var Niedzwetzkyana). From the leaves of M.x prunifolia there are taken strains of scab of the 1st and 5th morphotypes; from M.x floribunda 821 - of the 2nd and 3rd; from M.x coronaria - of the 3rd and 4th morphotypes.
