Dependence between herbicide treflan's induced damage of cytoskeleton microtubules and responses of barley (Hordeum vulgare) cultivars Gonar, Dzivosny and Staly on stress have been investigated. The value of cytoskeleton destabilization by treflans is estimated by cytogenetic analysis of multinucleate interphase cells quantity in roots division zone. Plant responses have been measured by changes of peroxidase activity, lipid peroxidation level and reduced glutathione content in cells. Dynamics of multinucleate cells appearance in the roots' growth zones of barley species in control group and after treflan's treatment is analyzed. Content of propandioic (malonic) aldehyde in barley cells after treflan's treatment is measured (inequality with control group is statistically veridical with P less than 0.01). Damage of genetic apparatus in root cells of barley after treflan's treatment is displayed in 1.0 mg/l concentration. Peroxidase activity in barley's root cells is evaluated per control group and after treflan's treatment. Content of glutathione in the root cells is presented. It is shown that barley cultivar Staly is less sensitive to treflan impact. Cytogenetic and biochemical characteristics indicate this.
