The Republic of Belarus is considered to be a enough humid territory. Average number of atmosphere falls is 600 mm annually. The problem of soil moisture content regulation is one of the most important. There are 2 directions of agricultural crops humidification - overhead irrigation and under soil humidification (subirrigation), which is actual method for the lands under pastures. Therefore, the role of retaining constructions, such as flood-gates, is major. Technical status of the land reclamation systems control structures (flood-gates) is presented per 6 regions of the country. The graphs of the flood-gates requiring repair work are displayed. Capital investments necessary for flood-gated maintenance are calculated. Economic efficiency of reclaimed soils' humidification is substantiated. It is stated that a number of structures are in emergency condition and require immediate decisions about the reconstruction to be made. The typical deformations and defects are presented and analyzed; the criteria and classification of their maintainability are also listed. The unit costs of the maintenance works on the control structures in Mogilev, Grodno and Vitebsk regions exceed the harvest payback limits on the reclamation projects, so their reparation is justified.
