The geological environment of an industrial complex is polluted by technological liquids. Anthropogenic soils are evidently deteriorated in their natural stratification. Data obtained during the study of the main features of the physical and mechanical properties of soils deteriorated occasionally are given below. The results obtained point to the transformation of the exchange complex, compression of the hydrated coating, changes of the colloidal structure, as well as of the soil type. Due to such evident transformations in the structure, the physical and mechanical properties are changed too. The total content of particles measuring 0,1 to 10,0 mm decreases. The soil loses its plasticity. The values of the specific adhesion C, modulus of deformation E and design resistance R are reduced. It is impossible to avoid the leakage of technological liquids and their migration into the building foundation strata in the process of exploitation of industrial enterprises. The disturbed grounds formed as a result show their holding capacity decrease, which can cause intolerable settlement of the soil foundation of buildings.
