The retrospective analysis of cattle hypodermotosis in the Republic of Belarus | Ретроспективный анализ заболевания крупного рогатого скота гиподерматозом в Республике Беларусь

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was realized a study of incidence of hypodermotosis by means of examination of cattle at the stage of mass access of larva under skin and examination of carcasses and jackets of cattle at meat processing plants of the Republic. In course of the investigation period the average incidence of cattle hypodermotosis was 0.9- 4.81%. According to the examination of rural localities and agriculture farms the average hypodermotosis incidence was 2.0% with the maximum infection level in June - August (3.02-4,0%). Infestation with larva of warble flies (Hypodermatidae) in fattening groups was 1.14%, cows – 3.17% (with the maximum infection level in cows in July – 9.87%). Over the last 6 years in Belarus there was marked a steady tendency of manifestation delay of the first clinical signs of the disease and postponement of extensive invasion peak which at present moment took place later than in 2003 on 1-1.5 months.
