In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were analyzed the results of studying the influence of herbicide Taran, WDG (rimsulfuron, 50% + tifensulfuron-methyl, 25%) (produced in Belarus) on maize (Zea mays) crops weed infestation with annual and perennial cereal and annual dicotyledonous weed plants. The herbicide Taran was applied in dose of 20-25 g/ha in a mixture with SAS Agro (0.2 l/ha) at crop development phase of 2-6 corn leaves. In course of the study there were analyzed agrometeorological conditions in course of maize vegetation period; quantity and frequency of occurrence of weed plants after realization of weed control measures. The preparation rendered essential influence on corn crops annual and perennial grass weeds and also annual dicotyledonous weed infestation decrease. The total weed plant kill was 81.3-89.9%; couch grass (Agropyron repens) – 89.2%; barnyard grass (Echinochloa crusgalli) – 93.3-100%; lamb's-quarters (Chenopodium album) – 73.1-76.9%; corn mayweed (Matricaria inodora) – 100%. As a result of lowering of weed infestation the preserved corn green mass yield was 590,2-614,9 cwt/ha.
