Morbidity of rabies was investigated in the conditions of Minsk region of the Republic of Belarus over the period of 1986-2009. Research results showed that there were many accidents of rabies in this period. In dynamics of disease incidence there were marked two total cycles: number of rabies cases decreased from 86 up to 1 over 1986-1995 and increased from 24 up to 423 cases in 1996-2006 years. The top levels of rabies disease in 1986-2009 were indentical for the Minsk region and for the Republic as a whole: 199 (17,4%), 423 (26,2%) cases in Minsk region and 1143 and 1614 cases in the Republic, respectively. Many home and wild animals were infected by rabies. In Minsk region the main animal species in epizootic structure of rabies disease was fox. There were stated 1018 cases of fox's rabies disease, that was 91,5% from all the cases of rabies amond wild animals. In most of the cases rabies was stated on the territories with hill area (Volozhin region – 132 accidents of rabies, Minsk region – 127, Uzda region – 102, Borisov region – 102).
