Chinese.

The effect of transplanting density on the population development and yield was studied on Ⅱ Youming 86 as Mid - season and ratooning rice in region of double season rice. The result showed that the highest yield was obtained under the density of 244300 holl/ha. As a dominant population in the main season, it was advantageous to coordinating the conflicts between individuals and population, and between the main season and the ratooning. The effective rate of tiller was negatively correlated with the planting density and the maximum filler number. The maximum number and effective number of tillers increased with the planting density. The LAI and the planting density were positively correlated before full heading and not related after full heading. The lower density was propitious to bud growth. The bud growth and xylem sap amount were positively correlated. The number of ratooning was positively correlated with the dry weight of stalk of rain season subsistence. The nitrogen content of individual plant, total nitrogen amount in the population, nitrogen amount in each organ, and nitrogen consumption of one hundred kilogram grain increased with the density reduction in the main season.
