In this study, 21 pairs of EST-SSR primers were used to analyze the genetic diversity among 23 recently released wheat cultivars and their parents (comparing variety) in Huanghuaihai area of China. Among the 23 new cultivars, 61 locis were detected. The number of alleles per locus varied between 2 and 8, averaging 2.90. Nei's allelic diversity index ranged from 0.08 to 0.79 per locus, with a mean value of 0.38. The pair-wise genetic distance among the 23 new cultivars varied from 0.12 to 0.69 with an average of 0.40. With regard to the 23 parents of the new wheat cultivars, 63 loci were detected. The range of alleles per locus number, Nei's allelic diversity per locus and pair-wise distances among cultivars were 2 to 7, 0.08 to 0.79 and 0.09 to 0.81, respectively. The average values of these statistics were 3.00, 0.44 and 0.46, respectively. The results indicated that the newly released winter wheat varieties in Huanghuaihai area have a relatively lower genetic diversity than their parent lines, suggesting a need for broadening the genetic base for winter wheat breeding in this region.[著者文摘]
