COMPARISON OF VARIETIES OF SORGHUM IN DIETS OF NUCLEI OF PROTEINS, VITAMINS AND MINERALS (NUPROVIM) AND FINAL HONEY FOR PIGS IN GROWTH | COMPARACIÓN DE VARIEDADES DE SORGO EN DIETAS DE NÚCLEOS DE PROTEÍNAS, VITAMINAS Y MINERALES (NUPROVIM) Y MIEL FINAL PARA CERDOS EN CRECIMIENTO

En comparación con el maíz, el sorgo ha sido poco utilizado en Cuba, en estudios nutricionales en los que se han determinado rasgos de comportamiento o índices digestivos en cerdos. Como es sabido, una de las diferencias que existen entre el maíz y el sorgo es el contenido de tanino de este último cereal. Más aún, existen variedades de sorgo que pueden ser altas o bajas en su contenido de tanino. Por otra parte, en otras investigaciones, se ha indicado que el nivel de taninos en el sorgo puede ser un factor que incide en la digestibilidad de la dieta, y en índices zootécnicos de interés económico. El objetivo de este trabajo fue determinar la digestibilidad y el comportamiento de cerdos en crecimiento al comparar variedades de sorgo bajas y altas en taninos en dietas a base de nuprovim y miel final.

English. In comparison with the corn, the sorghum has been little used in Cuba, in nutritional studies in those that behavior features or indexes have been determined digestive in pigs. As it is known, one of the differences that exist between the corn and the sorghum is the content of tannin of this last cereal. Plus still, they exist sorghum varieties that can be high or low in their tannin content. On the other hand, in others investigations, it has been indicated that the level of tannins in the sorghum can be a factor that impacts in the digestibility of the diet, and in index zootechny of economic interest. The objective of this work was to determine the digestibilitiy and the behavior of pigs in growth when comparing low and high sorghum varieties in tannins in diets with the help of nuprovim and final honey.
