Animal faeces are considered an important non-living vector of transmission of various infectious agents since they contain a broad spectrum of microorganisms. The floor of rearing facilities is a reservoir of infectious agents. For this reason the slurry should be considered as infective in the case of an outbreak of any infectious disease. Parasitic infections are spread with slurry that normally occur on farms and enter the process of infection only through animal faeces. Time and temperature necessary for anaerobic stabilization of slurry should be observed in order to protect the environment from dangerous infections.
