The most fig trees have above 30 years old in Fars province. The wood/leaf ratio or C/N ratio is higher than one. Their buds with weak growth form fair shoot and low quality small fruit every years. In addition consequence droughty years decrease soil moisture that decline old fig trees in many orchard. Severe pruning exam was carried out to decrease droughty disorder effects hardening trees to drought and increasing old trees fruits quality with factorial in complete random block design in three replications. The factors including: a) Thinning out in 2 levels (zero and one half of main trunks). b)Heading back in 2 levels (zero and one half of branches), and c)Green pruning in 2 levels (zero and one half of one year old shoot ) were studied on the same size with above 30 years old 48 Sabz cultivar fig trees. Results show that thinning out of one half main trunks treatment has positive effects on leaf width, decreasing of syconia abscission, decreasing of leaf water potential, fig canopy temperature, small fruits percent (b grade) and increasing dry fig one single weight. But heading back of one half crown branches has significant effects on few above desirable particulars. Thing out of one half main trunks in company with heading back of one half main branches on many of vegetative characteristics has more suitable result than other treatments, but for what reason decreasing of fruit number and weight (yield) don_t recommend on years with suitable rainfall. Heading back of one half crown branches treatment was more suitable in fruits total number and weight increasing than the others, but its fruits quality (color, length of ostiole and size) was lower than the others. Thinning out of one half main trunks and thinning out of one half main trunks in company with green pruning of one half shoot treatments have the best effects on earliness fruits and fruits quality (length of ostiole, size and single fruit weight) and quantity (total number and weight) characters. Therefore to increasing of gardener income recommended two last treatments.
