Effects of different rates of Nitrogen and Phosphorus fertilizers on yield and yield components of advanced clone 397007-9 (Savalan) minitubers in Ardabil region.

This experiment were conducted for determination the best N and P fertilizer levels for cultivation of potato minitubers of Savalan cultivar in Ardabil Agriculture and Natural Resources Research Station during 2007-2008. Experimental design was factorial on the basis of three replicates RCBD that A factor had four level of N fertilizer (30 percent more than soil test, basis on soil test, 30 percent less than soil test and without use N fertilizer) and B factor had four level of P fertilizer (30 percent more than soil test, basis on soil test, 30 percent less than soil test and without use N fertilizer). In growth period, plant height, main stem number, total and marketable tuber yield and total and marketable tuber number and weight per plant were measured. Analysis of complete variance showed that the difference among years on total and marketable tuber yield, main stem number and total and marketable tuber number and weight per plant and among levels of N fertilizer on marketable tuber yield and plant height, levels of P fertilizer on tuber number per plant were significant. Also, The difference among years and level of N fertilizer on total and marketable tuber yield, total and marketable tuber number and weight per plant were significant. Using N and P fertilizers thirty percents more than soil test, cause the maximum total and marketable tuber yield, total and marketable tuber number and weight per plant, main stem number and plant height.
