Investigation On Possibility Of Substitution Of Soybean Meal With Sangnak (Lathyrus Sativus) In Broiler Diets

The number of 4 samples of lathyrns sativus seeds (LS) were propared from Uromieh, Nagadeh, Piranshahr and Oshnavieh cities and analyzed with standard Methods. The avrage of dray Mater was 91.9 + 0.08 percente, Gross Energy was 3219 + 25.65KcallKg, Crnd protein, Crnd fat, Cnld fiber, Nitrogen. Free- Extract, Ash, Ca and P were: 25.18 + 0.79, 0.44 + 0.029, 7.41 + 0.74, 4.54 + 0.117, 0.42 + 0.63 and 0.29 + 0.009 respectively. Diets with 0, 4, 8, 12 and 16 percent of LS were pro pared and fed to 500 one-day old broiler chicks of Lohman strain at a compeletly Randomized Design with 5 treatments and 5 replications. At the first four weeks daily feed consumption was not affected at 8, 12, 16 levels ( ," 1.S but daily weight gain and feed conversion were reduced at this levels. At the secu,ld four weeks None of the exprimental levels of LS were significenly affected daily feed consumption, daily weight gain and feed conversion. Also there were no significently difference between experimental treatments and cnotrol about the mortality percente, abdominal fat percente, liver weight and feed cost of one Kilo live weight.
