The aim of the research was to evaluate milk productivity traits of the Latvian breed goats (LVK) depending on calving year and lactation. Milk yield was recorded monthly from 2001 to 2009 together with herd control and milk samples were taken and analyzed for fat and protein. Milk content parameters for total 2048 milk samples were analyzed in accredited milk quality laboratory. The statistical analyses were performed with the SPSS program package. Average milk yield of goats was 523.3 kg, content of milk fat 3.95%, amount of milk fat 20.46 kg, content of milk protein 3.19%, amount of milk protein 16.59 kg. The highest milk yield (602.7 kg) and content of milk fat observed in 2002, but content of protein (3.31%) for goats, which calved in 2007 (p is less than 0.05). Significantly highest milk yield goats reached in the second and in the third lactation 556.8 and 568.1 kg, but the highest content of milk fat (4.03%) in the fourth, content of protein (3.27%) in the fifth lactation (p is less than 0.05).
