The primary aim of the study was an attempt of an application of ornithine carbamoyl transferase (OCT) determination as a next parameter in routine control examination of metabolic transformation in cows. The present study confirmed the thesis that improper feeding leads to an excessive adiposity of cows, not only un dry-off period but in last weeks of lactation as well. An excessive adiposity, in dry-off is a main reason of metabolic transformation disorders
