The carbohydrate grain composition was studied on hybrids ZPSC 504su and ZPSC 311su. High pressure liquid chromatography method was used for qualitative separation and quantitative determination of carbohydrate grain components of the selected sweet corn hybrids. Changes in the carbohydrate grain composition were observed during the maturation process. The carbohydrate grain composition of the investigated hybrids varied during maturation. Fructose and glucose content decreased, whereas sucrose content increased. Sucrose content reached its maximum during the period 23-24 days after pollination.
