Mineral nutrient were obtained by process of ionic exchange of ions naturally present in clay Me (Me=Zn, Mn and Cu) ions. Local ilite-kaolinite Bele Vode (Serbia) clay was chosen as raw material. Vegetation experiments were carried out with the Phaseolus vulgaris (bean) under controlled conditions in hot house. Me ions were brought into substrate in the form of: Me-clay, MeSO4 solution and Me-chelate (in two different concentrations per kg of substrate). Experiment results have shown that Me ions from Me-clay more favourable effects biomass yield than Me ions from other preparations.
