The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of Rhizobium leguminosarum bv. phaseoli and Azotobacter chroococcum inoculation, individually and in the mixture with Streptomyces sp., on yield parameters of common bean and microbial activity in rhizosphere. Total number of bacteria and number of azotobacter were greater on variant with azotobacter inoculation. Dehydrogenase activity was greater on the variant with polyvalent inoculum, while the number of actinomycetes was greater in the variant with rhizobium. Number of pods per plant was significantly increased where rhizobium and azotobacter were applied, but mixture of inoculums did not provide statistically significant results. Inoculation positively influenced the grain mass per plant. Where the rhizobium and mixture of inoculants were applied increase of grain mass was statistically significant.
