Mechanized stone fruit harvesting enables more rational and economical harvesting, compared to manual harvesting, which represents one of the more complex tasks within the production framework. The share of labor force in mechanized shaking of fruit is much smaller than with manual picking and the effects can also be observed in the shorter time needed for that operation. For tractor fruit shakers one of the main tasks is the selection of vibrator parameters. This paper analyzes the response of the tree, the branches and the fruit, comprising a mechanical system, to the actuating parameters of the vibrator. An optimization of the oscillation of branches and fruit up to the moment of separation of fruit has been performed, and basic parameters, that influence the work efficiency level of the tractor fruit shaker, were determined.
