The main research aim of this paper is to provide an analysis and comparison of organic productions in the world. The paper presents the growth of world market of organic foodstuff products, also providing explanations related to functioning of organic retail sale sector in the most developed countries of the world. Profit, as the motive for organic products producers, has been shaken by the current economic crisis which has additionally increased the financial risk of investing financial assets in organic production.
