An experiment was conducted within research that took three years (2007-2009), following a random block system. The influence of grafting, mulching of agrotextile and low tunnels on early maturity, crop yield and quality of watermelons was examined. Two hybrids (Celebration F1 - H1, Zengo F1 - H2), each of them grafted on two stocks (Emphasis F1 - K1, lagenaria - K2) were used as objects of the experiment. In order to examine the influence of sorts and grafting, the experiment was laid in six rows: 1st - H1, 2nd - H1K1, 3rd - H1K2, 4th - H2, 5th - H2K1 and 6th - H2K2. Each row underwent following treatments: control (without mulch), without mulch + agryl, without mulch + agryl + tunnel, without mulch + tunnel, mulch + agryl, mulch + agryl + tunnel, mulch + tunnel. The results of the three-year-long research indicate that the best variant in most parameters that were examined was mulch + agrotextile, and the worst one was the control variant. Grafting significantly influences the formation of greater number of fruits, the mass of fruits and higher crop, compared to non-grafted seedlings. On the basis of average values of results for three years, it has been established that both stocks that were used had an equally important influence on fruit crop per plant.
