Main aim of this research was to find frequency of gene out the effect of different types of polymorph enzymes phosphohexose isomerase and 6-phosphoglucose dehydrogenase on wild pig growth comparing to effect on domestic pig growth. All the necessary data on wild pigs are obtained from the fenced hunting grounds on Podunavlje-Podravlje in Baranja (Croatia), while data from Vojvodina (Serbia) farms were used to compare to domestic types Big Yorshire, Swedish Landrace, Durok, Hampshire and triple hybrid VJxSLXD and VJxSLxH. Wild pigs from the fenced areas were used for the research, during the period of 98 days, aging 6 to 9 months. While taking blood samples pigs were earmarked, and at starting of the experiment divided into three weight categories 15-19 kg, 20-25 kg, and 25 and more kg. Additionally, weight of female and male pigs was observed as well as the effect of different genotypes PHI and 6-PGD on average growth inside these groups.
