The paper discussed the environmental aspects of the technical state process of printed flexible packaging, with special emphasis on the type and composition of solvents and their effects on humans and the environment. The listed measures of protection are mainly related to the protection of the direct harmful effects on people in the flexo printing houses, especially in the phases of pre-press, production of printing forms and printing, Within the scope of the reduction of indirect harmful impacts and of the preparation for the development of ecological solvent balance, there is a brief overview of used, destroyed and eliminated solvent given as well as of solvent emissions, in the part of the printing process, whose shares and the total amount is necessary to be determined and compared with the limit values.
