Mala Remeta, Jazak and Rivica settlements are situated on the sOuthern slopes of FruŠka Gora (Serbia). Until recently, basic types of work for these inhabitants were exclusively agriculture and cattle breeding. Owing to good lines of transportation, first of all with Ruma and Novi Sad, and owing to pure nature also, large number of modern orchards were planted recently. A need for certain quantities of water appeared for the purpose of orchard irrigation. Solving the problem of irrigation using quality groundwater, as well as gradualty in research work are the aims of this work. Starting bases for the research work, as well as the results obtained after the research will be presented in detail in the work. Aquifer distribution, aquifer regime and reserves, as well as groundwater quality were determined. The total discharge of 58 l/s of quality groundwater was abstracted, after drilling 12 drilled wells. High quality of water was determined. Possibilities to abstract new quantities of quality groundwater were also determined. If these complex problems, as water-supply or irrigation needs were approached using scientific research according to the rules, it would be possible to reach the desired aim, which is exactly what is presented in this work.
