In phase of regional lithogeochemical and hydrogeochemical prospecting, hundreds of samples were gathered from different environments of the geosphere. Contents of natural radionuclides U, Th, K were determined in the rock samples of the Vrsac hills. Different types of watersources, such as: wells, springs superficial flows and boreholes, were encompassed by hydrogeochemical prospecting. Contents of U, Ra, Tn were determined in them in accordance with standards of the World Health Organization (WHO). In the exploration area, influence of natural radionuclides in surroundings of rural settlements was determined for appropriate geologiocal field characteristics. Goal of the research was to present: radiation burdens shown on geochemical maps, influences of external equivalent dose of ionizing radiation from rocks (at the 1 m above the surface), and affects of anomaly concentrations of U, Ra, Rn in waters of the Vrsac mountains. Montecarlo method was used for assessment of the influence of external equivalent dose and the program BRGM-GDM 5 was used for making geochemical maps of radiation burden. This research was financed by the Ministry of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia in addition to technological project TR 21011.
