Louder the question of preservation and rational exploitation of natural resources, especially land, which requires the elimination of the usual practices of production and application of new technologies. They also expressed the demands of consumers for quality and healthy food, plant or animal origin that is produced in the untouched environment. Special attention in this paper is devoted to comparison of organic farming in our country with Mediterranean countries, comprising more than 5.5 million hectares of land under organic production. The paper describes how the market and these products, as trade in products of organic origin is increasing permanently. Among the eastern Adriatic countries, our country is standing out and demonstrating the strongest growth in organic production.
