The aim of this work is protocol improvement for RNA extraction from Impatiens walleriana plants by applications of different extraction buffers and varying the extraction conditions. The yield of RNA extracted by TRIzol was low in this important horticultural plant. The obtained results show tat the optimal protocol for isolation of intact and purified RNA with high yield was the protocol deveoped for tissues which are rich in polyphenols and polysaccherides. The extraction is straightforward and economical. The obtained RNA is suitable for downstream applications, such as RT-PCR.
