Rapid method for detection of Listeria monocytogenes in food products has been developed. The method uses polymerase chain reaction in real time. For that purpose the set of oligonucleotide probes has been designed. The series of laboratory and referent strains have been subjected to their specificity. The comparative analysis were also been conducted for the method of DNA isolation. New method has been applied to 50 types of meat and meat half products and as a result the 17 samples have been detected for the presence of Listeria monocytogenes. 100% certainty has been achieved in comparison of the research results for the conventional and new method.
