This paper presents the results considering the application of the mineral absorbents in diet of broilers. The aim of these investigations was to determine the following: if mineral absorbents Minazel and Minazel plus added into diet for fattening chickens, have influence on dressing percentage of broilers. The examination was done on 400 fattening broilers of Cobb 500 provenance, divided into 4 groups, in respect to the level of already added mineral absorbent: control group K (100 animals, without added mineral absorbent – 0.0%), experimental group O-I (100 animals, with 0.5% of Minazel), experimental group O-II (100 animals, with 0.2% of Minazel Plus) and experimental group O-II (100 animals, with 0.3% of Minazel Plus). The experiment lasted for 42 days. Feed and water supply was ad libitum applying floor stocking system. Since the yield is important determining element of quality, influence of feeding treatment to this property was monitored. Results of examination show that the chickens from O-I group had the best production results of cold carcass (2133.1 g), O-III group (1937.9 g), O-II (1855.4 g), while the lowest yield was measured in the K group (1701.8 g). The differences of mean values between examined groups were statistically significant. We can conclude that the mineral absorbents added into the diet of broilers resulted in better production characteristics.
