Effects of transesterification parameters on yield and quality of fatty acid methyl esters produced from waste frying sunflower oil from household and restaurants were investigated. Methanol/oil molar ratio (6:1 and 9:1) and catalyst/oil weight ratio (NaOH 1 iand 1.5% mass.) were varied. Reaction was carried out in two steps at different temperatures (first step was at 30 deg C and second at 60 deg C), at same speed (400 rpm) and time, 60 minutes.
