Activity 1.2 Stability and conservation of forest stands. Activity 1.3 Modelling growth processes of forest ecosystems. Activity 1.4 Ecologically suitable utilisation of forest ecosystems. Activity 1.5 Target wood quality. 2. Slowing matter-energetic flow through forest ecosystems. Activity 2.1 Global and regional changes. Activity 2.2. Water, carbon and nutrition cycles. Activity 2.3 Disturbance and meliorations of forest ecosystems. Activity 2.4 Biomass and chemical composition of wood. 3. Conservation of biodiversity and rational utilisation of forest ecosystems: Activity 3.1 Diversity of wooden plants and herb layer assemblage. Activity 3.2 Diversity of invertebrates.
