In this study, the calibration of TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) tool that is used recently commonly on the determination of soil water content that its determination is a basic need in the studies of soil hydrology, agricultural and engineering areas was conducted in different soil textures. For this reason, the samples that are in the category of prevalent textures (C, CL, SiC, SCL, L, SL, and S) in Çukurova region were taken and placed into the pots in respect to their bulk density. The calibration study with the gravimetric samples taken by TDR tool with the subsequent ones in various time periods from the pots in question was carried out.

Bu çalışmada, toprak hidrolojisi, tarımsal ve mühendislik çalışmalarında saptanması temel bir ihtiyaç olan toprak su içeriğinin belirlenmesinde son zamanlarda yaygın bir şekilde kullanılan TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) aletinin, farklı toprak tekstürlerinde kalibrasyon çalışması yürütülmüştür. Bu amaçla Çukurova bölgesinde yaygın olan toprak tekstür sınıflarına (C, CL, SiC, SCL, L, SL, S) ait alanlardan alınan örnekler, alındıkları yerlerdeki hacim ağırlıklarına uygun şekilde kasalara yerleştirilmiştir. Söz konusu kasalardan çeşitli zaman dilimlerinde (farklı toprak su içeriklerinde), TDR aleti ve paralelinde alınan gravimetrik örneklerle kalibrasyon çalışması yürütülmüştür.
