English. Conducted in 2004-2005, this study aimed at identification of fruit characteristics of wild rosehips growing in Siirt. For this aim, fruit samples were taken from 49 different wild rosehip types in the first year (2004) and from 30 different wild rosehip types in the second year (2005) Within the population, the eleven types 56-3, 56-6, 56-9, 56-16, 56-17, 56-22, 56-24, 56-27, 56-29, 56-39, 56-49 were considered promising based on fruit weight, Vitamin C content, soluble solids content and fruit flesh percentages.

Bu amaçla 2004 yılında 49, 2005 yılnda ise 30 tipten meyve örnekleri alınmıştır. Populasyonda meyve ağırlığı, SÇKM, C vitamini içeriği, meyve eti oranları dikkate alınarak 56-3, 56-6, 56-9, 56,16, 56-17, 56-22, 56-24, 56-29, 56-39 ve 56-49 nolu tipler ümitvar olarak değerlendirilmiştir.
