Effects of some PGPR and bioagent bacteria on growth of lattuce and bacterial leaf spot of lettuce | Bazı PGPR ve biyoajan bakterilerin marulun gelişimi ve marul yaprak lekesi hastalığı üzerine etkileri

In this study, we aimed determining potential plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) and bioagent bacteria, which can positively influence lettuce growth and provide opportunities for biological control of bacterial lettuce leaf spot disease. Forty bacteria strains belonging to eight genera and two families were chosen, identified via classical and molecular methods, and tested for nitrogen fixing, phosphate solubilizing and pathogen suppressing properties. Strains found to be effective in the above mentioned tests were taken into trials for different purposes.

Bu çalısmada; marul gelisimi üzerine pozitif etkilerde bulunabilecek ve marul yaprak lekesi hastalığının biyolojik kontrolüne olanak sağlayabilecek potansiyel PGPR ve biyoajan bakteriler tespit edilerek sera sartlarında etkinlikleri arastırılmıstır. Çalısmada 2 farklı familya ve 8 farklı cinse mensup 40 bakteri straini seçilerek, bu strainlerin moleküler ve klasik yöntemlerle tanıları yapılmıs; bunun yanı sıra azot fiske etme, fosfat çözme ve patojeni baskılama yönünden etkinlikleri test edilmistir. Bu testler sonucunda etkili olduğu gözlemlenen strainler sera kosullarında denemeye alınmıstır.
