During 2007-2009 a field trial with the new dry bean variety Eliksir was carried out on a slightly leached chernozem soil in the experimental field of Dobroudja Agricultural Institute. The aim of the investigation was to determine the optimal sowing and nitrogen fertilization norms for the new variety under the conditions of the Slightly Leached Chernozem soils in Dobrudzha region. Five sowing norms were tested: 25, 30, 35, 40 and 40 germinating seeds per m2, as well as four nitrogen fertilization variants: 0, 40, 80 and 120 kg/ha again phosphorus background of 60 kg/ha. The trial was designed by the split plot method, in four replicates of the variants, the harvest plot area being 12 m2. It was found that the year conditions had the highest effect on the grain yield from variety Eliksir under the conditions of Slightly Leached Chernozem soil. The most efficient sowing norm was 30 g. s./m2. The outnumberring of that norm had negative effect on the grain yield, thousand seed weight and the structural components of yield. Nitrogen fertilization has less effect on the yield and it is proven statistically at the fertilization rate N80P80 only It has a pronounced effect on the performance of 1000 seed mass and structural components of yield.
