The field experiment was performed in the period 2008-2010 in educational and experimental field on University of Forestry – Sofia. Was used onion Allium cepa L. variety Shtutgarten Reesen. Tested a system of herbicides s-metolachlor at a dose 1.2 l.ha-1, introduced premergence and postemergence linuron – 1.0 l.ha-1. Established efficacy 45% for annual monocotyledon weeds and 94% against annual dicotyledonous. Weeds have a negative impact on productivity by reducing the onion yield by 745 to 825.4 g.kg-1 in cultivation without application of control measures. Yields of onion heads obtained in control and cultivated using a system of soil and foliar herbicide did not differ among themselves proved.
