The investigation was conducted on biological material obtained by 20 (10 male and 10 female) clinically healthy, sexually mature guinea fowl. The individual weights of birds were determined on an automated balance before removal of intraorbital glands. Conforming to the norms of the Ethical Committee at the Trakia University, Stara Zagora, a pair of lacrimal and a pair of Harderian glands were collected from each bird. Prior to fixation, the glands were individually weighed with automated electronic balance and the main morphometric parameters were determined. The results were statistically processed and presented in a table.
