Cardiac biomarkers in human and veterinary medicine are represented by cardiac troponins (cTnI and cTnT). This study reflects the changes in concentration of cardiac troponin I in blood plasma obtained from horses undergoing continuous riding (60 km). After the workload was observed pronounced and statistically insignificant increase of the biomarker, indicating the presence of stress effects on the myocardium.
