Prerogative for the future development of Sakar region is the development of stock-breeding. The latter is unthinkable without a starting point – provision of feed of the herds of animals kept. A key point in this direction is to know and correctly approach to the use of available natural swards. The purpose of this experiment is to make a detailed analysis of the most accessible for use swards in the region of Sakar Mountain by determining their type and composition and trace the impact of usage. The observations were made in five natural pasture swards different in their location, altitude and slope exposure. After a detailed analysis of the composition of selected swards was found that with the greatest diversity of species of swards are these located in the belt between 400 and 600 m above sea level. They are of the type Agrostis vulgaris - Festuca fallax. Almost during the whole growing season they are fresh, with more dynamic developing and progressively alternant species composition. They are used primarily as straw, and in later summer and in autumn as pasture. The swards located in the belt up to 400 m altitude (mostly around 300-400 m above sea level) are of the type Cynodon dactylon - Lolium perenne; Andropogon ischaemum; Festuca myuros - Bromus sp. This diversity of pasture types is a consequence of the slope inclination, its exposition and types of usage. They are mostly used as pasture from early spring, but during the dry and hot summer they burn and the above soil biomass dries.
