In course of the research there was studied the breeding material of yellow lupine (Lupinus luteus) of the breeding of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy (Gorki region of the Republic of Belarus) and the Russian Research Institute of Lupine to anthracnose against hard infectious background in order to isolate the possible sources of resistance to the pathogen. Chemical control have appeared not effective because of enormous reproductive ability of pathogen, therefore selection of lupine on resistance to anthracnose is unique effective and economically defensible control method. As a result of realized research it was revealed that anthracnose resistant varieties of the Russian Research Institute of Lupine breeding have no resistance to the pathogen in the conditions of northeast of Belarus. They are affected on an infectious background on 98.0-99.1%. Following triple individual selection against infectious background in the given varieties a number of lines characterized by low affection and high yield were singled out (205.8-585.4 g/square m). From the remaining 14 combinations of crosses 4 lines of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy breeding possessing tolerance to anthracnose were singled out.
